Our Waipahu pbHTA students were blessed with a morning at Mokauea, one of the tiny islands in Ke‘ehi Lagoon. Visiting with the non-profit Mauliola Ke‘ehi, they practiced being grounded in place, culture, history, and their own breath. With awesome teamwork, they paddled across to the moku and spent an idyllic hour exploring the reef life — meeting eels (puhi), tasting the limu, and patting sea cucumbers (loli). Mahalo to Aunty Kēhaulani and @mauliola_keehi for an amazing experience.
Waipahu's Sierra M. brought fun, games, and soccer to our Ewa Beach kindergarteners while fulfilling her community service project for the National Honor Society. Creds to Sara A. for the video :)

Congratulations Maria M. and Ezekiel B. who just won state and international honors in the World of 8 Billion International Student Video contest. They made their video about food waste in Ms. Francis' world history class. Please watch!
The Waipahu Peace Studio is the result of much planning and work from students on our Safe Space Committee. They have created a calming place on campus where students can relax and unwind.
And the award goes to ... HTA's Mia and Kiara! Their Action Sports Editing video scooped first place at the prestigious 2023 STN Convention. Hats off to our entire Waipahu media team and their producer, Ms. Morita.
