Whether you are joining us for the first time, or are a returning family, below is critical information for all families who enrolled after the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
Orientation + training for students and learning coaches
All students and Learning Coaches will receive an Orientation on the school, as well as a training on how to use HTA curriculum platforms, hosted by their Campus Director.
Campus Directors will contact Learning Coaches directly soon after they are enrolled at HTA to schedule the Orientation and Training.
COMPUTER LOAN PROGRAM + Computer Pick-Up Process
Computer Loan Program: Students can participate in HTA’s optionalComputer Loan Program. The computer and its accessories are the responsibility of the student and parents. Families choosing this option will need to sign up on HonuHub and pay the refundable insurance deposit. Sign Up Instructions.
Parents will want to create a PayPal account, as HTA only sends refunds (and other reimbursements) through PayPal. If you choose not to participate in the computer loan process, please ensure that every one of your enrolled students have their own laptop computer to use for school.
Computer Pick-Up Process Oahu Campus: After the refundable deposits are paid, Oahu students may pick up their computer from the Tech Room on campus between 8:30am-3:30pm everyday. Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island Campus:After the refundable deposits are paid, computers will be shipped from Oahu to the Neighbor Island Campuses, and may take up to 10 days before they are available for pickup. Families will be contacted when their computer is ready.

In the subject line of the email, please include: Student Full Name, Grade Level, Campus Location. Ex: Rio Perez, Grade 4, Kauai Campus.
parking, drop off and pick up
For the safety of your student, parents are asked to drop off their student no earlier than 15 minutes prior to classes, and pick up their student within 15 minutes of dismissal. Supervision can not be ensured outside of these parameters. The reception area within our campuses are reserved for business purposes.
Oahu Campus See parking map for general information on where you can park. There are no reserved spots for the HTA Oahu Campus. For Elementary School drop-off and pick-up process, the Campus Director will inform parents of the details when scheduling the Orientation + Training day.
Maui Campus Parking is available in the Municipal lot off of Vineyard and Church street. Construction on these side roads will begin in July, so please allow for delays. The Municipal lot has free parking for 2-hour and 12-hour spots. There are no reserved spots for the HTA Maui Campus.
Hawaii Island Campus Please park in the stalls in the parking lot or open stalls along Hualalai Street. DO NOT park in the adjacent business parking lots or the open parking lot behind the school.
Kauai Campus Please park in any of the available unmarked stalls at the Kukui Grove Executive Center.
FIRST 10 DAYS OF SCHOOL (Department of Education Policy) If a student misses 10 or more consecutive school days from the first day of school, the student will be unenrolled from HTA and reported as a “no-show” to the state.
FIRST MONTH OF SCHOOL (HTA Policy) If a student misses more than five days of orientation, online work/class or face-to-face class during the first month of school, without a valid excuse approved by the school administration and documentation such as a doctor's note, the administration may, at its discretion, unenroll the student.
HTA does not provide lunch at any grade level. If your student has a designated lunch time on their schedule, please be sure they bring their lunch. We encourage the use of a recyclable container.
High school students are allowed to leave campus during their lunch period, but must return in time for their next class.
CONNECTING WITH OTHER HTA PARENTS
HTA's 'Ohana Committee Our 'Ohana Committees, known as our HOCs, are committees of parents who provide support to our campuses, like a PTA. They are a great way to connect with other parents, learn about the school, and give back.

Ohana Days are community-based events when students, families, teachers, and staff can get together to connect and have fun, outside the day-to-day happenings of school.

HonuHub is our internal system at HTA where we conduct all of our school operations. Now that your student is enrolled, starting July 1, you will have access to a new "Parent Portal" in HonuHub from the "Enrollment Portal" that you have been working in.
