THE THINGS WE VALUE

Benefits of working at HTA

WE VALUE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Teachers can take a variety of PD courses, including in-house opportunities that align with HTA’s mission and vision. HTA teachers have many opportunities for PD and can thus reclass more efficiently.

WE VALUE PROFESSIONALS

Our schedule allows you to personalize education for students and achieve work/life balance.

WE VALUE AN INNOVATIVE CULTURE

The culture at HTA is exciting and innovative. Teachers are encouraged to try new things and to look at data to evaluate and iterate on their practice.

WE VALUE COLLABORATION

We have six campuses on four islands, plus a Distance Learning program, so you have the opportunity to collaborate with teachers across the state as well as on your home campus. Collaboration is the key to HTA’s teacher-designed curriculum.

WE VALUE COMMUNITY

Connections within the school community and our wider community are equally important at HTA. Teachers have the opportunity to take their classes into the field to enhance and apply learning. Our teachers and students are in the field often for classroom learning, community service projects, PBL integration, and Career-Based Learning.
