Water Warriors

When our Kaua‘i middle school students heard that Russian bombing has affected freshwater supplies for Ukrainian families, they knew that’s who they wanted to raise money for this year.

This was the third year that Mrs. Scott’s English class has teamed up with H2O for Life to help tackle the global water crisis.

For their Walk for Water, each student covered 3.1 miles while carrying two gallons of water. That water represents those people around the world who need to walk to obtain water for their family’s use.

H2O for Life is a national organization that raises awareness about the global water crisis by engaging schools in service-learning projects.

HTA Kaua‘i’s work with H2O for Life is featured here. You can read about the people Kaua‘i students have sponsored and you can donate to the cause.
