Our O‘ahu Distance Learning students lived the concept of laulima during their visit to Loko Ea fishpond near Hale‘iwa. They learned about the history of the fishpond and the ingenious engineering that the ancient Hawaiians used to harness the tides to create a constant supply of fish. And then it was down to work as they helped clear invasive plants — many hands make light work!
