World of 8 billion

Push PLAY on the stellar work of Grade 9s Ellie B and Josephine L — whose videos were recognized in the international World of 8 Billion contest. The annual contest is sponsored by Population Education, a program of the non-profit, Population Connection. Ms. Boles challenged her humanities students to produce the 1-minute videos on a global topic related to human population growth and include at least one idea for a sustainable solution. More than 3,100 videos were entered in this year’s contest. They were judged by a panel of 49 judges who are professionals in their respective fields from around the world.
